Traditional Ethiopian jewellery revolves around the use of artisan produced fine silver and gold crosses and other icons.
Our silver and gold jewellery is all handmade from locally extracted metals. Over 200 styles of crosses represent regional or local variations, or crosses associated with saints from the ancient Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
Islamic silver jewellery, influenced by Middle Eastern styles, is amongst the most ornate anywhere in Africa.
